Business Administration Teaching DegreesBusiness has exploded in the last few decades owing to internet, computers and technology. With increased connectivity and networking, buyers and sellers are knocking each others’ doors across the world. Physical barriers have ceased to exist with virtual conference rooms and supersonic flight. As such, the room for decision-making has become even narrower and far more time constrained. Further, for businesses to succeed sharp skills are required and these are not always available through conventional channels. In this context, there are quite a few business administration programs providing formal education for students to enhance skills and capabilities. Different types of programs exist like Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate alongside certifications and diplomas. Programs are also available through campus and online modes and in different tenures. They usually cover subjects like accounting, business information systems, finance, human resource management, operations management, project management, sales & marketing and communication. Career prospects are equally good in this discipline. Positions can open up in various companies like accountants, administrative executives, bankers, controllers, consultants, human resource managers, retail managers and school administrators. Some of them may even opt for heading their own companies. As per U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, opportunities for business administrators through popular programs like MBA are set to increase by 15.4% through 2012. On an average, earnings may span between $45,000 and $85,000 per year though levels fluctuate based on education, experience, location and employer. Leading the top schools in Business Administration is University of Phoenix providing accessible programs for all. Following it is Strayer University offering host of programs in this discipline. Not far behind is CDI College which is equally reputed as the first two universities. Argosy University and Kaplan University complete the list offering a menu of campus and online programs that cater to different sections of students and working staff.
