All About the Applegate-Jackson-Parks Future Teacher Scholarship

Numerous teaching scholarships are available for the aspiring educational professionals of tomorrow.  The Applegate Jackson Parks Future Teacher Scholarship is one such award, which is offered by the National Institute for Labor Relations Research (NILRR) to graduate and undergraduate students who are majoring in education in the United States.  If you’re looking for scholarships to get an education that will lead to a teaching career, it can’t hurt to learn all about the Applegate Jackson Parks Future Education Scholarship and other awards that are available.

These teaching scholarships from the NILRR are most appropriate for future educators who have a strong opinion on unions.  The Applegate Jackson Parks Future Teacher Scholarship is named after three Michigan public school teachers who were fired for their refusal to pay union dues.  Many factors go into the final decision on who is awarded the scholarship money, but a great deal of weight is placed on an essay of no more than 500 words that demonstrates an interest in and knowledge of the Right to Work principle as it applies to educators.  The scholarship money is also awarded to students who show potential to successfully complete a college-level education program.
